Why This Work Matters

Shared Harvest's mission resonates deeply with me because it combines two things I care

about most: supporting people in crisis and addressing the challenge of student loan debt. As a

Disaster Care Manager, I'm walking alongside individuals who are going through some of the

hardest moments of their lives such as losing their homes, their sense of stability, and the

memories tied to those spaces. Being able to show up as their advocate, listen to their stories,

understand who they are, and guide them through life-changing adjustments is incredibly

meaningful to me.

I also appreciate Shared Harvest’s unique approach of empowering volunteers through student-loan relief. It's one of the biggest financial challenges many of us face in the U. S., and Shared Harvest’s model allows me to do what I love-helping people rebuild their lives. Supporting others while being supported myself creates a mission that truly aligns with my values and personal story.

When not volunteering: Outside of my work with Shared Harvest, I enjoy unwinding with music

and staying consistent in the gym.
